  • Reports Q1 (Dec) earnings of $2.89 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.11 better than the S&P Capital IQ Consensus of $2.78; revenues rose 9.8% year/year to $687.1 mln vs the $678.08 mln S&P Capital IQ Consensus.
  • Co issues downside guidance for Q2, sees Q2 revs of $610-$650 mln vs. $694.19 mln S&P Capital IQ Consensus.
  • Co issues downside guidance for FY22, sees FY22 revs +4.5% to +8% (down from prior +8% to +9%) which equates to about $2.72-$2.81 bln vs. $2.82 bln S&P Capital IQ Consensus.
    • "While demand for its solutions remains robust, the Company expects that its ability to meet customers' continued strong demand for systems will be restricted by supply chain constraints for the remainder of fiscal year 2022. As a result, it expects fiscal second quarter revenue in a range of $610 to $650 million. It further expects fiscal year 2022 revenue growth in a range of 4.5% to 8%, down from its prior expectation of 8% to 9% growth. The Company expects fiscal year 2022 software revenue growth near the top end of its previously provided 35% to 40% guidance range, and fiscal year 2022 global services revenue growth of 1% to 2%."

    F5 Networks beats by $0.24, reports revs in-line; guides Q1 EPS below consensus, revs below consensus; announces additional $1 bln share repurchase program
    • Reports Q4 (Sep) earnings of $2.44 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.24 better thanthe Capital IQ Consensus of $2.20 and vs. company guidance of $2.20-$2.23; revenues rose 2.4% year/year to $538 mln vs the $534.71 mln Capital IQ Consensus and company guidance of $530-$540 mln.
    • "We finished fiscal 2017 on a solid note, delivering record fourth quarter and annual revenue and earnings," said Franois Locoh-Donou, F5 President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are excited by the meaningful role we are playing in helping customers solve the complexity of deploying applications across on-premise and multi-cloud environments. "We continued to see strong customer interest in our virtual edition and application security offerings during the fourth quarter, particularly in public cloud deployments.     SEATTLE (AP) _ F5 Networks Inc. (FFIV) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $94.2 million.
    On a per-share basis, the Seattle-based company said it had profit of $1.44. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.98 per share.
    The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 17 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.93 per share.
    The computer networking company posted revenue of $516 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Eleven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $515 million.
    For the current quarter ending in April, F5 expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.95 to $1.98. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.94.
    The company said it expects revenue in the range of $518 million to $528 million for the fiscal second quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $521.5 million.
    F5 shares have climbed roughly 1 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has increased nearly 3 percent. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $145.75, an increase of 55 percent in the last 12 months.

    • Reports Q2 (Mar) earnings of $1.68 per share, $0.05 better than the Capital IQ Consensus of $1.63; revenues rose 2.5% year/year to $483.7 mln vs the $486.02 mln Capital IQ Consensus.
    • Co issues mixed guidance for Q3, sees EPS of $1.77-1.80, excluding non-recurring items, vs. $1.74 Capital IQ Consensus Estimate; sees Q3 revs of $490-500 mln vs. $502.72 mln Capital IQ Consensus Estimate. 
    • Board of directors had authorized an additional $1 billion for the company's common stock share repurchase program. This new authorization is incremental to the $73.8 million currently unused in the existing program which was initially authorized in October 2010.
