LUXEMBOURG (AP) _ Intelsat SA (I) on Tuesday reported a loss of $66.8 million in its first quarter.
The Luxembourg-based company said it had a loss of 56 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 41 cents per share.
The communications and satellite company posted revenue of $543.8 million in the period.
Intelsat expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.06 billion to $2.11 billion.
Intelsat shares have nearly tripled since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than tripled in the last 12 months.
