- Reports Q1 (Mar) earnings of $0.09 per share, $0.06 better thanthe Capital IQ Consensus of $0.03; revenues rose 8.2% year/year to $1.66 bln vs the $1.58 bln Capital IQ Consensus.
- Outlook: Co expects market conditions will strengthen in Q2 vs Q1. Shipments of carbon and stainless steels, as well as tubular and stamping products, are expected to benefit from continued strength in the automotive market. In addition, the company anticipates increased shipments into both the distributor and converter, and the infrastructure and manufacturing markets.
