DUBLIN (AP) _ Endo International PLC (ENDP) on Tuesday reported a loss of $173.8 million in its first quarter.
The Dublin-based company said it had a loss of 78 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.23 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.12 per share.
The health care company posted revenue of $1.04 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.03 billion.
Endo expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.45 to $3.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $3.45 billion to $3.6 billion.
Endo shares have dropped 34 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 33 percent in the last 12 months.
