=Yamana Gold (AUY) reported earnings on Thur 16 Feb 2017 (a/h)
Late Thursday, management released fourth quarter financial results, and unveiled its production guidance for the next three years, through 2019. At 920,000 ounces, 2017 gold production is lower than some analysts expected due to a bigger drop in production at El PeƱon.
Reuters reports that Yamana foresees a hiatus in significant expansionary capital spending after the completion next year of Cerro Moro and the Barnat extension at Canadian Malartic. Due to the technical nature of the projects in Yamana’s pipeline, the company it could be 2022 before the company begins development of any major new project.
