Domino's Pizza beats by $0.06, beats on revs; domestic comps accelerate to +13% :
- Reports Q3 (Sep) earnings of $0.96 per share, $0.06 better than the Capital IQ Consensus of $0.90; revenues rose 16.9% year/year to $566.7 mln vs the $543.18 mln Capital IQ Consensus, due primarily to higher supply chain revenues from increased volumes and store growth. Increased domestic franchise and Company-owned store revenues and higher international revenues resulting from both same store sales and store count growth also contributed to this increase.
- Domestic same store sales grew 13.0% (+13.8% co owned, +12.9% franchise) vs. +9.7% in Q2, which represents the 22nd consecutive quarter of positive sales in the U.S. business. The international division also posted strong results with quarterly same store sales growth of 6.6%, marking the 91st consecutive quarter of international same store sales growth. The Company had global net store growth of 316 stores in the quarter, and 1,133 stores over the trailing four quarters.
- Company repurchased 412,260 shares of its common stock for ~$59.7 million.
