Accenture (ACN) reported earnings on Thur 28 June 12

Accenture PLC's fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 9.8% as the consulting firm amid broad-based revenue growth, particularly in its outsourcing business.

Shares rose 3% to $58.34 in after-hours trading as earnings topped expectations.

Accenture has continued to post strong earnings growth in recent years as companies continue to spend heavily on consulting and outsourcing services.

For the quarter ended May 31, Accenture reported a profit of $689.2 million, or $1.03 a share, up from $628 million, or 93 cents a share, a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters most recently projected earnings of 99 cents.
